OSHA Safety Training for the Entertainment Industry

Jay Cail Stone

Trainer

These OSHA 10 & 30 training programs have been created for the IATSE technicians and college and university students in the entertainment industry.

Film, Stage and other entertainment venues face unique challenges. It is the mission of NEESafety to help individuals create a safe working environment for themselves and others.

This is done with real world examples by Jay Stone who is a Studio Mechanic and Stagehand in New England. Jay is also a licensed pyrotechnician and a licensed special effects technician.

From IATSE Local 481

Jay has done an excellent job at clearly providing a tremendous amount of highly-relevant information, brought to life through numerous examples from the motion picture sets, shops and live theatre. Instructional methods include presentation, video, discussion, demonstration and written test.

Two quotes from Jay’s classes.
“Really enjoyed this class. Everyone should take it. Jay was very good at explaining subjects and making them easy to understand.”
“This raised the bar on safety consciousness. It has great value, enabling us to make sure that safety issues are properly addressed."
